Top Day Trip Idea for Bay Area Resident Tourists: Enjoy An Angel Island Tiburon Ferry Ride to Angel Island State Park – and Spend a Fun Filled Day in Paradise!
No time to getaway – no problem! Check this out - you can spend a glorious day on Angel Island by taking a ride on the Angel Island Tiburon Ferry out of Tiburon, CA and get that “getaway” feeling without going away!
Check out the CA Living show segment we did with Angel Island Tiburon Ferry Captain Maggie McDonogh titled:
There are incredible views everywhere you look so bring a camera to get snaps of the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco skyline, and the marine life in the bay on the ferry ride over. Angel Island – the “Jewel of the San Francisco Bay” offers something for everyone – hiking, biking (you can bring your bike on board the ferry for a buck or two or rent bikes there), picnicking – and of course beautiful beaches!
Now if you have little ones in tow - there is a great beach for kids right near where you dock in Ayala Cove. For those looking for a bit more solitude check out the beach near Camp Reynolds – it’s my favorite, although Pearl Beach was closed the last time I went which offers straight on views of the San Francisco skyline from it’s sandy shore.
